Highlights: Lighting Solution Suitable for Cold Winter Areas, in USA

The science city located in Michigan where the summers are warm and humid; the winters are freezing, snowy, and windy; and it is partly cloudy year round. Over the course of the year, the weather is shown on the following pictures.

Customer wanted that these solar street lights should be very beautiful and have a sense of science and technology; they can perform well even in severe cold in winter; and they are clean, green and energy-saving.

Generally, solar street lights do not perform well under severe cold in winter and short sunshine duration. In order to improve this situation, we had made three major improvements:

• Customized ternary lithium battery pack with a low-temperature protection system instead of LiFePO4 battery that does not perform well at low temperature;
• Adjustable bracket can adjust the solar incidence angle in winter and summer, so It can ensure that the solar street lights are charged enough.
• Smart lighting power adjustment according to the charging situation.

In the first phase of the project in 2020, all the solar street lights have experienced the severe winter test. The project was very successful, so in 2021 we completed the second phase of the project. Our products have received high praise from customer.
